Hello, I am Kostas! For more than six years, I have been fortunate to make the Ionian Islands my sailing ground and my second home. The sea has always been a huge part of my life—not just the thrill of sailing but also windsurfing, paddleboarding, and enjoying all kinds of water sports.

As a freelance skipper, I’ve worked with many different charter companies and sailed a wide variety of vessels, mostly catamarans, gaining extensive experience along the way. I’m comfortable navigating both solo charters and crewed ones, adapting to different group dynamics and setups with ease.

Over the years, I have hosted guests from all over the world—families, couples, groups of friends, and solo travelers with diverse interests and from all ages. This variety has taught me how to tailor each trip to fit the specific needs and preferences of those on board, making sure every journey is safe, smooth, and truly unforgettable.

Where can I start my charter?

Charters typically depart from Lefkada or nearby harbors such as Preveza Aktio, or Perigyali. These ports are all within a 30-minute driving distance of each other, making it easy and convenient for guests to reach their starting point.

How do I get to the departure ports?

Departure ports Lefkada, Preveza, Aktio, and Perigyali are easily accessible by car or taxi from nearby airports and local transport hubs. Transfers from every corner of Greece can be arranged on request.

Do you only skipper catamarans?

Not only, but I definitely prefer them. Catamarans are great for the Ionian Islands because they offer more space and comfort, with big leisure areas and plenty of privacy. They don’t heel when sailing, and their shallow draft lets us get closer to beautiful beaches.

How many guests can catamarans accommodate?

Most catamarans comfortably host 8 guests in 4 double cabins, each with its own bathroom. There are also larger models available that can accommodate 10 or even 12 guests, perfect for bigger groups.

Do I need sailing experience to book a charter?

No sailing experience is required. The skipper takes care of everything, so you can just relax and enjoy your time on the water.

What should I pack for my sailing trip?

Pack light and practical! Bring comfortable clothes, swimwear, a hat, sunglasses, and sunscreen. A light jacket for cooler evenings, and any personal essentials like medications. Waterproof bags for your electronics and valuables are also a smart idea.

Are there activities available besides sailing?

Yes, local businesses offer a variety of activities beyond sailing. Guests can enjoy yoga classes, scuba diving excursions, wine tasting tours, relaxing spas and explore fascinating inland caves. These experiences provide diverse ways to immerse in the natural beauty and culture of the islands.

What if the weather is bad?

Skipper rates

Whether you have booked your cruise through Ionian Skipper or another company, skipper services can be provided independently with the following rates:

• with cabin provided for the skipper: 230 euros
• without providing a cabin (skipper accommodation in skipper cabin): 260 euros

Host/hostess rates

Optionally, hosting services can be provided by trusted colleagues at the following rates:

• with cabin provided for the host/hostess: 200 euros
• without providing a cabin (host/hostess accommodation in skipper cabin): 230 euros

*The charterer is also responsible for covering the crew's meal expenses, which generally includes providing breakfast and lunch onboard, as well as approximately 30 euros per crew member for dinner.

All inclusive Charters

Our all inclusive charters are priced at 6000 euros (cost added to catamaran booking cost) and include the following:

• Skipper and host/hostess salaries
• Port fees, electricity, water and fuel
• Full provisioning
• Soft drinks, beer and wine
• Every breakfast and lunch, plus one dinner onboard

Booking a Catamaran

Seasonal demand and differences among catamaran models cause prices to vary, making fixed rates impractical. Instead, tailored quotes are offered based on specific model and travel dates. Reach out directly to receive a personalized offer.

How to Book

Skipper Services

If you have already secured a vessel, standalone skipper services can be booked directly on available dates as those appear in the Availability section.

Hosting services can also be booked in collaboration with trusted colleagues.

A 30% deposit of the total weekly fee, is required at the time of booking, with the remaining balance due at the start of the charter.

Full Charters

For skippered charters, including booking a catamaran, after our initial communication, you will be given custom quotes featuring market-leading rates, along with tailored vessel recommendations based on your group's size, itinerary, and special requests. Importantly, the catamarans I recommend are ones I have personally skippered and know to be fully equipped and in great condition.

When you choose a vessel, you will be redirected to the company that owns or manages the boat to finalize the booking process. These companies are well-established, reputable, and trustworthy, with proven track records in the charter industry, ensuring reliability, quality service, and a seamless booking experience.

This way, you benefit from better rates, reduced insurance fees and smooth coordination between skipper, guest, and vessel provider, making the entire process hassle-free and enjoyable.
